I am a barrister specialising in children law based at 15 Winckley Square Chambers in Preston. Photography has always been a passion, particularly informal people reportage, which culminated in a weekend wedding photography business blossoming out of nowhere! My wife also caught the bug and ended up running the business full-time for 8 years, before we finally decided to get our weekends back in 2014.
These days I only shoot for fun and try my hand at all types of photography. I love the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson. He once said “To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.” If I can capture in just one photo in my life what Henri envisioned when behind the lens, I will die a happy photographer!
